I really am not that big of a fan of mattes. I usually opt for the minimum being about 1" with 3/4" visible. The Anthony Goicolea I have on a nice oyster matte and a dark teak 1/4" wide frame to pick up the accents of the rocks and the furs in the picture. It's still going to take freaking 3 weeks!

Which do you prefer? The right one or the left one?

The right one looks like Joe Dallesandro.

The thought hadn't crossed my mind to decide.

Do you think there is any market for DIY framing? It's basically just the stiles (or whatever), cut at 45 degree angles, a sheet of cardboard and a sheet of glass.

Thanks. I will take closer up pictures of the frame later. The silver pics up the ashen tone of the front model and then also there are flakes and uneven surfaces in the finish of the frame that have a pink hue that pops out and picks up some of the flesh tones also in the portrait.
