They are magical. Most likely shell cordovan from unicorn hide. I bought them to clean up and sell, but tried them on once.....and now they live in my closet.

I know jack sh1t about shoemaking, but I have horween from three different shoemakers.

The leather is not the same. Not even close. Vass is especially different, more supple (and thin)

I tend to polish my shoes while when watching football solo. Being Monday night, I pulled out my Marlows which were overdue and gave 'em a good, darn good, shine job. Well, I thought ... until I saw this. [sigh]

I literally just put mine on the shelf about 10 minutes ago. Packed 'em off for the night with a smile. Actually thought, "I'm getting pretty good at my shine skills." Now I'm like "I have so far to go" Great job, Capn!

(gotta say, these have a better natural coloration than mine which are darker overall. I'm inclined to start a sunlight regimen to get 'em to lighten up a bit).

Thanks @Nataku for letting me handle these great C&J loafers. Didn't need a ton of work, but took a nice shine.

Another shout to @TheNeedMachine for allowing me the pleasure of working on these Alden Straight Cap Boots.

Oh, my goodness, if you wear a 10.5 D, get at TNM quick, these will not be available for long. So minty!

Those turned out great - thanks again Cap'n! #8 Horween shell on the Barrie last, so they run a half size big IIRC.
