They're using UK sizes.

The only really comparable shoe is the chelseas. So, I checked.

From Epaulet, shipped, the boots are $595

Direct from Carmina, the boots are 338 EU + 40 EU shipping, or 378 EU, or $496. So, the savings is $100 or so. Plus tariffs.

So, it all pretty much comes out in the wash.

And the two lasts I've tried have been 'true to size' for my foot - meaning I most often take a UK 7 and the Carmina 7 in rain and simpson last both fit me well.

Anybody having issues checking out on carminas e-boutique? Specifically it won't let me in to my cart after adding the items I wanted, it just re directs to the home page instead. I'm emailing them about it too but just thought would throw it out there. Tried on my iPad and a laptop.

I have the same problem. There is probably a bug somewhere in its design. The overall presentation of the website just doesn't seem very professional to me.

Awesome, now the problem seems to be fixed and the size I wanted is gone..... ffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gif

I'll be in Barcelona in about 3 weeks. Looking forward to seeing the shell in person and snagging a pair or two. Regarding VAT, do i just get the forms from Carmina and submit at the airport (as I've done in London)? Thanks.

It should be the case. At least it has been my experiences shopping in different parts of Europe, including Spain, though not specifically at Carmna.

Apparently you can do MTM/MTO on the pairs online. So your size and different color. It's 30% on top.

The Carmina website says that a 42.5 is equivalent to a US 9 But when I tried on the 42.5 in the Rain last in Paris it fit me perfectly and I've never worn a shoe smaller than a 9.5. I would beware of their US equivalencies.

Turns out the issue is not resolved online and now I'm sick of waiting for them to get back to me especially as my size is now out of stock. So i've ordered these from The Armoury instead -

It's a pity because the ones I wanted off the website (a similar brown calf brogue) were about $100 cheaper direct from Carmina and about the same price with trees thrown in. But I'm an impatient bastard really and these are a perfect all rounder shoe.

^ I have the same pair -- they're really great.

btw, I've purchased both from the Armoury and from Carminas website. Both experiences have been great and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from either channel again. With Carminas site, I recommend reaching out to Betty (info@carminashoemaker.com) if you have any questions. She was friendly and responsive in my limited experience.
