I'm so jealous. I am getting mine this week. Every minute of the day is longer when you're waiting for the Apple store to call you to tell you to come pick up your 40gb iPod and 15" PowerBook G4

(matadorpoeta @ 15 July 2004, 2:04) anyone seen the short film "ipod's dirty secret" by the neistat brothers? apparently the internal battery on an ipod only lasts 18 months. after that you need to buy a new ipod or send $255 to apple for a new battery. apple suggests you buy a new ipod. you can see the film at ifilm.com in the 'viral' section. it's about 2 mins long.
the battery is indeed a flaky one - this was adressed by Apple and is no loger a problem and correct price for a battery replacement was about $90 PS if you are going to use kazaa, make sure you ket the Kazza Lite version - it is free of spyware. [K++]
I got an ipod as soon as they came out and have yet to experience any issues. I use it quite heavily so either I'm lucky or it was just a certain batch of batteries that was causing trouble.

Jharrison, if you are using a mac, which I seem to recall you saying you were, the program you need is "Solarseek." It's the exact same thing functionally as Soulseek, runs on the same servers, but the interface and coding for it is far superior.
