Some new apartment pics... - Page 2

I like what you've shown...but, I'm not digging all the white wales. Have you thought of painting any part of them or putting something above the TV?

Nice. It's definately one of the most tasteful executions of a minimalist design. It does not have that "catelogue" look that some suffer from. I'd definately like to see the rest.

What TV? I thought that was a fireplace.

Looking around at the rest of the pieces and art I'd assume that fireplace wall was left empty on purpose. You need a break from art on some walls. Nice editing overall, IMO.

Hahah yah it is a fireplace, I just glanced at it and then saw the log holder when I checked again.

While it wouldn't work in this place, I love at the Tom Ford store the huge clear quartz in the fireplace.

I like the contemporary decor. However, the pieces would look better with color on the walls. As the room stands now, the objects are floating out in space, and the shadows behind some of the objects are rather harsh.

The fireplace in that place is kick-ass. It's a monolithic piece made out of onyx.

well, floating is the whole overriding concept of the place. You can't tell from the pictures I posted, but almost all of the built in cabinetry and shelving floats off of the wall, or at least in cantilevered. I really dislike colored walls, although we do have one that is bright yellow behind the Murphy Bed in our TV room. Anyway, my belief is that warmth comes from people and not from colored walls or wood paneling. I do like brick but there was none to be found in our building. I will try to take more, and better, pics later. As far as the bedroom, we are waiting for a new rug that should be here within a day or two, so I will hold off until then.

I love the sleek modern look too but toddlers tend to make quick work of all white, floating, expensive stuff.
