Would like hear from anyone (from north America) whose shoes were Patina treated by Alexander?
How long did it take from the time you mailed your shoes to the day your got them back?
How much was mailing? Prices in US dollars? Were you pleased with the finished shoes?
Before and after pics?

Thanks,

I recently got a pair of Alfred Sargent cordovan double monks finished by Alexander.

Here is a link to my experience: http://www.styleforum.net/t/233902/a-fine-pair-of-shoes-official-affiliate-thread/1427_30

PM me for pricing. I think it varies. If you send Alexander a picture and what you would like completed, he could provide you with a quote. Shipping cost (40 euro one way) is where the cost starts to become a problem for us in the States. Given mine was shipped from UK with shipping covered by A Fine Pair of Shoes, I was only burdened with cost from Italy to the States.

He received my shoes on November 5th & he finished them on December 9th. I think 4 weeks is what you should expect although it will vary depending on his workload.

Also, I happen to be wearing mine today:

Happy? Very.

Price and delivery time vary based on the nature of the job and his current backlog. I was quoted 5 weeks - it ended up being a couple weeks longer due to our respective travel plans over the holiday season.

Anyone know what that price for this patina treatment generally is? Does anyone in the US offer it?
