I must have some fat/wide feet! The 2040 and 2045 are very tight for me when I out them on and wear them initially. After a bit of time, the leather must give a bit as the comfort is fine. But without the benefit of a shoe horn, I'm not sure id be able to out them on. The 110 on the other hand is comfortable instantly and I only use a shoe horn for ease and convenience (can you tell I'm on a one man mission to sway public opinion away from the 2030 to the 110?)

I hate to ask twice, but no one replied;

Has anyone had issues when you take the boot off, your sock rubs against the bottom of the boot, and sort of peels a layer off? like if the glue was not strong enough? where the two layers meet in the middle of the inside of the boot

Maybe I'm being dim, but what do you mean by a later peals off? Which two layers?

Sorry I'm new to this, noob love. Like when you rub your hand inside the boot against the bottom, you feel the top layer that starts at the back of the heel and ends in the middle, that's whats peeling off caused by the friction of my sock when i take the boot off. It has started peeling off at the end of the layer in the middle of the boot, it's the layer with the "styleforum" stamp on it

Does sound a little strange. I've always found every last detail of my Vibergs to be stronger than a tank.

Do you mean the boundary where the tan heel portion meets the white part around the ball of the foot? I have only worn the boot a few times so far and no it hasn't started peeling yet for me. I agree its a bit strange why the insole doesnt cover the entire foot. This is my 1st pair of Vibergs and I don't know if all their boots are like that. Maybe someone else can comment.

This happens with all insoles. You can't stitch across at part without causing discomfort.

Boots just arrived after taking a very expensive holiday in customs...

Overall I'm really happy with them, but I do have one slight gripe. The double stitch down is a bit of a mess, especially on the right boot. This is my 7th pair of Vibergs and I can't help but think that they are letting shoes through quality control, which might not have done so in the past. The first 5 pairs had consistent spacing between the two rows of stitches, yet these and a pair bought from Superdenim a few months ago have been a bit messy. May be I'm being too picky, but it really bugs me when it's the first thing I see when I look down at what are otherwise stunning boots. I wonder if any one who's got an unhealthy amount of Vibergs has noticed the same? (Thanks Fok for all your work on this btw!)

I have the exact same issue on my pair -- very tight stitching on the left boot, a little gap between stitching at the top of the right boot. It's less than ideal, but because these boots are "beaters," it bothers me less than it would on say, a pair of Edward Greens.

A little late to the party I guess, but I got mine today. Im very happy with them, most of all the fact that I got an absolutely perfect fit! What luck! Very happy with how they look as well.

Well I sent an email this morning raising the issue, so we will see what they say. To illustrate the issue, here is another picture of the stitching on my boot and a comparison image lifted from the Viberg site showing the wax flesh derby boot and attention to detail I've taken as a given from my previous purchases

That didn't work then, this is my boot and the previous image is from Viberg.com

I noticed a VERY slight narrowing between the stitching on my Vibergs (like 1mm). Nowhere near as bad as the pic above. I don't think I could file that under handcrafted character.
