Are Brogues Year-Round Shoes?

I want to buy these shoes and there is a fashion website that says brogues are to be worn from autumn into spring. I've never heard that before.
Am I really not supposed to wear these shoes in the summer? I've seen a couple of similar pairs on sale elsewhere. makes me wonder if that website is right or if these shoes are going out of style. I mostly keep my mouth shut and lurk here, but I don't want to make a bad purchase.
