Could these things be any more ubiquitous right now? I feel like I'm confronted with them on every corner. I thought they were interesting when they first showed up a few years back and actually bought a pair for casual wear, but now they need to be put to rest, the quicker the better. Especially the square front bicycle toe dress shoes.

I really dislike bicycle toe shoes. The lines never seem to look good to my eye. I have yet to see an attractive pair.

I'm 26 and usually dress upscale-streetwear when shopping. AE & higher shoe sales people always steer me straight for the bicycle toes, so they must think there's something about them that suits my demographic?

This is the one style of shoe that I've never seen a single wearable example of, from any maker.

There a a number of chisel toe shoes I like.

A chisel toe shoe is not a bicycle toe shoe. A bicycle toe shoe has the seams run straight down to the front of the sole. Some are chiseled, some are not. I can't actually tell from the photo of that suave guy above if it is a bicycle toe shoe. Here is a bicycle toe shoe

Those are square-toed shoes, not bicycle shoes.

And does anyone know where I would find a cotton zip-up like this? It actually looks pretty comfortable.

Everytime I see them (at least the better-executed examples), I am intrigued, but this warning siren goes off in my head. Poseur! Poseur! Poseur! I don't know why, but it does. It's like new wave amjack.

Funny, the article I pulled it from said bicycle toed. I think I see the seam on the right one. Here are my bicycle-toed monkstraps from Messrs. Pearl & Izumi:
