I'm not sure what "kop" means but I'm assuming that you're asking me if I bought them? In that case, no. I did some rough calculations and with the shipping and the customs duties they wouldn't cost me much less than a pair of Carminas from Skoaktiebolaget.

I still might get a pair, though, since I read somewhere a while ago that they write down the value on the package so that might be worth looking into. They do look very nice, but as sinnedk stated, the leather doesn't look top notch. For a cheap beater pair that wouldn't really be a problem, though.

I found these (and some more) pictures on their facebook pages:

I finally got my first pair of bal boots back from the cobbler (photos to follow), and have two questions for you lads:

For those of you with speed hooks, how do you lace them? In "x" shapes? I ask because my eyelets are bar laced, and I'm not sure what the norm is for the lacing once you reach the hooks.

Do any of you use boot trees? This pair of mine has suede uppers, and I could definitely see them wilting a bit after being broken in. Within reason, cost isn't really an issue for this.

go "x". you wont see them anyways, regardless of how they are laced.

i use boot trees for a pair of G&G. definitely worth it but only if you can get them lasted to fit your carminas. otherwise itll be pointless and most shoe trees would be just as effective.

Not boot, but 100% balmoral.

I have seen them in Sydney at a pop up store. The cricket boot ones and others I mean. They look like a bit better than Loakes more to Church's level.

I tried on a pair and they are an English shoe with a fashion forward Italian vibe such that the last is longish in the Italian manner which for me meant going down from UK10 to 9.5 and I almost fitted the 9.

Thanks for the infos.

I find the leather combination very beautiful. A nice contrast between the two leathers.

However, I'm not so sure about the last. While not as 'pointy' as the other boots by JW they still look very long and slim to me.

What do you think?

^^ Nice looking boot, a little too narrow for me.

Thought I'd share, Carmina's web shop just posted a run of their 80092 model, the punched captoe balmoral boot in Cognac shell, looks like they have pretty much every size they make up to UK 12. Only 483 € ex vat, pretty sweet deal, <$700 shipped, a couple hundred cheaper than you'll find them elsewhere.

Oh good, I don't feel too bad about MTOing this model, since they decided to go with leather soles instead of Dainite.
