It's exorbitantly expensive to have a store in NYC, with rents from $500-$3,000 Per square foot, so just need to be sure the figures work out. you have to sell a lot of shoes to make sure you can cover the extra expense. I have every faith that they will be opening one however!

btw, they certainly will sell a lot if they were to open up a store here!

Namor has the secret list... seriously though it depends on how much you want to spend

Those particular boots came from the group buy in this thread: http://www.styleforum.net/t/300953/a-fine-pair-of-shoes-x-alfred-sargent-mto-thread

Sometimes bal boot group buys come from here: http://www.styleforum.net/t/277505/epaulet-x-carmina-mto

You can find RTW bal boots around, but they aren't the most common.

You can get an MTO bal boot from Carmina and others, and apparently Meermin is working on a bal boot makeup.

haha i better get to work! I would rather get a pair of RTW ones at this point, although I just might have to go MTO to satisfy myself. I am thinking of gettin either some balmoral boots or jodphur's for wear with suits in foulish weather. for those of you who may have both, which has more versatility? I.e. they can both be worn with a suit certainly, but which doesn't look out of place with slacks and the odd trouser, or perhaps some selvedge denim? If I go MTO I'm thinking shell cordovan in a light brown, maybe rubber soles for maximum waterproofing... although i feel like they don't cater to the jodphur's as much. thoughts?
