The good news (for me at least) is that I have managed to get in on the LL balmoral boot thing

I have been informed that more info will follow in the next few days.

Really? Alden hasn't answered my email about them, although as I said, I wish the toe didn't look so "booty."

Would you share the price and waiting time please?

I presume that information will follow in the next few days.

Now that I think about it, didn't Manton / Sator post something about price earlier in this thread?

Actually, all I could find was a quote from Mr Alden "Carmina has quoted a price of 625 euros including shoe trees plus shipping etc." lifted in part from the corresponding thread on LL: http://thelondonlounge.net/gl/forum/...=6770&start=75

CAN I BRIBE ANYONE HERE? Those Grenson Balmaloral is available, as has been noted here, from "The Natural Shoe Store" in England. I know my UK size (10) but the shop won't send the shoes out of the UK.

Anyone have any bright ideas on how I can get the shoes in the USA? I'll happily pay anyone in the UK who wants to receive 'em and reship 'em to the USA.

Thanks.

I noticed the same. While I have not used them, there are a few proxy services on ebay that can ship things from the UK. I'll see if I can find a link for you.

Shannon II have arrived...

I thought the calf uppers would have been much lighter and now I'm not sure the coffee suede is the best match.

Beautiful pegged waist. The boots look to be finished to a very high standard. Congrats!

Nice boots, portnoy. Gorgeous, actually.

JJL, if I were you, I'd start darkening the leather on those. The red is a little bit off-putting in contrast with the suede, but I'd bet that with time and polishing, you could get it to a darker, browner color that would look pretty good.

I need to do something. I was thinking of dying the suede a darker colour. Dark brown or possibly black? I'm really not sure. I need to chew this over & then order a new pair because this is the only thing that will calm my nerves!

82 last this time I think.

jjl - I recommend you apply Saphir's dark brown cream, folowed by the mahogany polish to darken the leather.
