Kudos to anyone working on going from assisted to unassisted. Going from not being able to do a pull-up to being able to do a pull-up is a damn fine accomplishment.
I'll see how it goes! Had pretty long term impingement in my shoulder and in this time put on around 60 pounds so can't pull my body weight in spite of dead lifting 1.5 times and squatting 45 pounds more. I'm well on track to finally crack 200lb bench for reps this month but being 3 weeks off 43 years old; the unassisted pulls might be a bridge too far. I follow this thread to maintain the dream!
