I'm a runner, former cyclist. Thinking about adding some wheel time for cross training, though.

I cannot believe that two whole pages of this highly important advice thread were just frittered away on the likes of Adam Sandler.

Matters were only just barely redeemed by the sudden appearance of Kate Beckinsale slobberiana.

And then this...

I hate asking for votes, so I'm not going to do that, but I do ask you take a look at the competition. Justin deserves the publicity, as he's really one of the most genuine and helpful guys in the shoe industry.

Here's my pic in a slightly higher quality. It was taken by waiting for ebb to uncover the seaweed covered rocks, climbing all the way out and nearly losing my footing in the process! I wish I had a real camera, but it was fun taking pictures with my iphone!

Had I known about this, I would've involved a professional photographer. A 20 grand camera/lens + exotic location. Boom. Win.

Anyway, I voted. Congrats on making the final 12.

it is my goal to acquire two striped ties for the summer.

one with 2 colors of stripe, equal in width, and on the wider side.

one with a thinner, more spread out stripe, on a ground, with perhaps an even thinner stripe framing the thin stripe.

i am officially open to recommendations.

go!

Exquisite Trimmings has lots of striped Drakes and Tie Your Tie ties, some of them 3.5". It's a bit of a random selection, but to be honest I could see myself wearing all of them.

@Monkeyface Very impressive pic and more than worthy finalist. For me a very strong contender if not favourite icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Thanks gents! Wish I had a real camera, not just for this but for holidays and such as well. Might just be on my list of purchases over the coming months.

^ I personally don't care for those Tie your Tie block striped ones. I like the rest. I'm still looking for a tri colored block stripe tie that I think I could wear semi-regularly.

I have that navy grenadine with orange bar stripes, it's sharp but not an instant inlove.gif like I was expecting.

I prefer the Drakes ties as well, but TyT is a 7-fold and not that much more expensive than Drakes. I remember seeing that orange/navy tie in one of your fits recently, it looked pretty good to me!

Excellent news, JRD will be ecstatic!

I'll think on, though Sotiris has made a head start there!

Two of mine I could see on you, a Drakes and a Corneliani -

Okay, there's about 5 more I missed from NMWA I missed ^^ that I would personally kop.

@Monkeyface I like Tieyourtie, just not those particular block stripes. 7 vs 3 fold doesn't really matter to me if I don't like the pattern/color/texture. Just like 8cm vs 9cm isn't a make or break for me like it is for others. YMMV smile.gif

i think the only tri color block stripe that i like is one from shubumi.

thanks everyone for the recs. a lot of great options for the thinner stripe on ground, but i am still in search of a two color block stripe. conrad wu had one with a thin white stripe between the red and blue and i should have got one of those when i had the chance.
