I like that the thread name is confusing. ("Noodle Tie Thread???" --- next thread)

Keeps out the idiots. biggrin.gif

If there ever was a FC for who the biggest idiot is...I'd win by a landslide.

I too like the name of this thread.

Don't beat yourself up too much goodles. I'm up there but good thing is we're working on it.

That's the unique thing about the people in this thread. Open minded people who want to learn.

Jungalo, do you own a blue blazer/odd jacket? I can't recall. But if so, do you mind posting a picture?

That gray jacket you posted a few hours ago from HSM is something you should pass on. It does look orphaned (as will all gray jackets without some very, very casual details). The other two were simply too country. It isn't a big deal to have slight redundancy in staples, but when looking at more unique fare, you need to ask yourself, "Do I already own something that, with the same shirt, tie, and trousers, would achieve the same effect?" I think at this point, the answer would be yes on most countrified blazers you find on eBay. I know they are cheap, but it's worth patiently waiting for a few staples to come up.

Also, steer clear of three buttons. I know they're everywhere on eBay. And I generally like three buttons (provided you've the height). But they definitely shouldn't be the foundation of any wardrobe.

JR, I don't like either of those.

1). They are ancient. Look at that oldschool Zegna label! Not worth $200.
2). They are hard three roll button. Only three button jackets you should consider are "three-roll-two"
3). Ugly fabrics

Noodles, for 4k you can come to Messico, get 2 bespoke suits, go back to DC, come back to Messico for final adjustments and go back to DC with two bespoke suits. Not bad. biggrin.gif

No offense Geusey, but "bespoke suits" and "Mexico" does not register for me. biggrin.gif

lol8[1].gif I sensed that. lol8[1].gif

This guy does a nice job, he studied in the Kiton school or something like that, point is he studied in Napoli. In my tumblr I posted once an example of the "Spalla Camicia" he does. There's also Antonio Solito, the brother of Genaro Solito, but since he passed away it hasn't been the same and it's a lot more expensive.

How about honeymooning in Europe? You impress the missus (work on your open-mindedness "... not to Europe because of the Nasis", there aren't that many, very thankfully), and you could possibly cop some bespoke/mtm in Naples, Paris or London, buy some Vass in Budapest, ... endless options. Europe is best in late spring/late summer. Just saying, dood. wink.gif
