Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

This is Kenji Kaga of Tie your Tie.

Tie is ok, but I do not like the combination of items very much at all.

Mixing the hober and the wu among the party might be fine. The grenadine over the hober, for me if I was in the party.

BTW: in all my comments on the Tie your Ties, I didn't mean to discourage people from looking at C&A's listing @C&A's price is really quite good for what I think are essentially new ties.

If you were tempted, it's seems a very reasonable way to try some of the last season's offerings. Still less than the sale price at Exquisite Trimmings.

A solid tie would have been the safe choice (rust or chocolate grossa e.g.). But I agree about the pairing of jacket, tie pattern, and white non-BD shirt.

C&A has some of the most beautiful ties on this forum...unfortunately for me the bespoke ones he put up for sale are too short...

Anyone heard of Viola ties?

Some of the stuff they have looks very decent. But $175 + international shipping for a RTW tie is crazy. I could get Hober or Cappelli bespoke for less than that

Might be worth watching if they ever have sales

Also, in before Noodles whines about Cappelli again smile.gif

It would be interesting to see if anyone has tried these. They look similar to Vanda ties close up.

Hey JRD, been a while.

Odd, I was just looking at their ties too (inspired by their Tumblr). 125 euros, I think. The knots look a touch thin and the prices...yikes.

I liked this shantung

Still looking for a crunchy knit, and I might opt for Monkeyface's Knottery options, but this was interesting

Other nice ones, but the prices are a no go.

Noodles: vandas are often 9cm, these are 8cm. I prefer the 9cm width, 8cm only on sale:)

Superb ties, didn't know they were that expensive though. Another underrated brand from Milan and probably less expensive: Petronius.

Never heard of 'em, Noodles. Kop some and report back to us. Kthnxbai!

Elio - I have seen pretty high prices for Petronius.

Seems short-sighted by them...Your thoughts anyway?

I have one of their ties (they showed up once on Gilt when I looked at that site more often). It's nice: charcoal wool, small houndstooth. Drapes nicely.
