Your coworker is a douche....I think they are 4". Jung is looking killer in his today.

I like both of those Eidos cuts, but I think I prefer the Lorenzo.

Much more expensive, and most jackets are about $600, and suits are about $750. The tan solaro and the brown checked suit are nice, but not much is left. Give them a call if you want to know their current stock, but they don't have pictures. It's not worth the hassle imho.

Is that the same coworker that got those cute little dainty lapels from Suit Supply?

Naw. A different culprit.

OK, I'll start. The five main things that jump out are:

1. Setting of the gorge (which I prefer in the Lorenzo)

2. Width of the lapels (I'm guessing 3 versus 4 inches...would feel best with something in between)

3. The openness of the quarters in Lorenzo

4. The appearance of a bit more drape in the chest of Lorenzo

5. Stance seems a touch lower in the Lorenzo (length may be equivalent?).

I think the sleeve head might be different (Greg lists some other differences in the NMWA thread). Nick Pollica suggested that the waist is trimmer in the Lorenzo, though I can't tell in these pics.

Funny...I want something in between! But they are nice in their way.

I'm starting to think that if you have more open quarters, as in the Lorenzo, best to wear it unbuttoned. To my eyes, the Tipo looks better buttoned, at least in terms of the quarters. This looks better than when it is buttoned

.

Here, the wide lapel works nicely with the curve, just dramatic, but in a nice way, top to bottom.

No.  That would not only be inaccurate (I am at the peasants' end of the order, hence "M", rather than the knights -"K"), but rather the opposite of the point I was trying to make. :revolve:

What's wrong with you, man?  Have the courage of your convictions.  Simply point out that your lapels are in proportion to your head, which is in turn proportionate to your brain, which in turn again is why you are a CPA and his boss.  Ergo, he should perhaps return his inadequate lapels and pea-sized head to his desk and, if capable of sustaining two thoughts simultaneously, consider the social and professional limitations rightly imposed by his inferiority while getting on with his fucking work.

People who don't like wide lapels just don't know. Although, the truth is, it's not really about wide versus skinny, it's about proportionate.

In any case I prefer the cut of the Tipo based on the pictures I've seen so far. However, it will also depend on the build of the wearer which cut looks better.

Why do you like the Tipo better? The Lorenzo seems more Formosa like, aside from the quarters.

Idk, it just appeals to me more. The Lorenzo is indeed similar to the Formosa, but its not quite there for me. Also, the Formosa cut is not what Id pick from a line up. Im glad I kopped before I picked on that or I may have held back.

I measured the Tipo lapel, it's about 3.5-3.75" at its widest point.

I'm surprised. The Formosa a look wider. How are you measuring?

The exercise is Tipo versus Lorenzo which as Greg pointed out are pretty different.

Which is which?

I love MonkeyFace's jacket and had they stocked longs would have been all over it merely based on how it looks on him right off the peg.
