@New Shoes1 I've got nothing but good to say about my HC ties. Better still an AV to be lauded for all the right reasons icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Went to NMWA. Tried on Formosa. Liked Formosa.

FTFY.  Looks good, by the way.

Noodles will be fine. He apparently needs jackets with a slimmer trouser, so he'll probably be doing more pre-orders and things like that.

I have another strategy which is to not visit the store in the first place despite the enticements of a sale 'preview'.

Unless, of course, I actually need to purchase something, which is becoming a rare occasion.

Spoke too soon. The duties hit just arrived. frown.gif

Thanks. Was trying to channel a stitchy/murl fit. Will post more on the visit but wow, it was a lovely coat. This was a 48 so too small for noodles.

I can't remember if it was in this thread that we discussed the RL Marlow and I said that I didn't care for PTBs. Well, this just happened...

I believes these be shell...

Beautiful.  That is one of the few shell plain toe bluchers that I would wear.

I just can't get over the wrinkles. Imagine what. those look like after wearing them a few times ...

I dislike PTBs. One broke into my house and killed my favorite grandmother/plant. Poor grandma. Socks. (Millennium hand and shrimp)

As far as Henry Carter--they are fantastic. Plus Jason is a guy worth buying from just generally.

I'm really pleased with them. I'm waiting for my third HC tie to arrive. The knot I can tie with them comes out great. The one in the picture looks fantastic! The ties were over my expectation.

Plus Jason gives a great customer service. :slayer:

well, for those who like ages shell, the wrinkles are part of the appeal, for those who dont, the wrinkles are a turn off. im ambivalent, but i have the wingtips so there is pretty minimal wrinkling.
