I have the grey flannel. You won't be able to get that one for at least a few months in your size and then you would run into the trouser issue. It's also a patch pocket too so I don't know how you feel about those...they are a more casual suit. Nothing wrong with that SS if you need something in the immediate future. It's a fully canvassed suit that is made pretty well.

Well, for $1000 more you would get TWO SS suits. wink.gif

Anyone know what is going on with the sleeves here? See the lines or crumples? This isn't the clean drop  from the shoulders that the Formosa has.

I did NOT see that in your fit pic but that's a deal killer for me.

I just can't get past the fact that it's made in China (correct me if I am wrong). I am such a brand whore.

Very true. I believe I acted pretty much the same way after I returned all them shiny ties to NM and that Isaia suit. I can totally see NOW what was wrong with that suit.

Don't know where they are made, but they look good on you and that's really what matters.

From what I've read here you are down to one suit (THE Formosa). You'll wear that one in to the ground if you don't have a few suits to alternate between. Two SS suits will take you a long way while you SLOWLY build your new wardrobe. Rome wasn't built in in one day, you know. wink.gif

This.

Patch pockets are the sh*t.

The sleeve issue you are talking about is the "sleeve pitch". Not a major issue in your case, but it is there. Look, I get the whole China thing, but unless you can roll with one suit for quite a while...what choice do you have? I'm all for supporting Greg & NMWA (I sure do), but you can't wear the same plaid suit every damn day for 3-4 months.

Alright gentlemen. Here's what I plan on doing.

I plan on rebuilding very slowly since I screwed up big time and it really cost me in the pocket.

I will most likely wear the Formosa once or twice a month.

So what the heck am I going to wear the rest of the time?

I still have my old Zegna suits (which seems to be selling rather quickly).

When I run out of the old Zegna suits (via sales), I'll just get some trousers and just wear them with no jacket.

(Yes, that maybe appalling to some of you.)

1. As long as they're doing a good job, there's nothing wrong with suits made in Chinese factories. As a matter of fact, some of the Chinese factories do as much hand finishing with as high a level of quality as many of the Italian places.

2. Patch pockets are amazing. What is wrong with you noodle?
