Sartoria Partenopea?

If you have a lot of light brown shoes, don't hesitate. Buy it!

@Coxsackie if they can alter the collar and lapel to sit right then please pull the trigger.

SB is right about the collar gap, hadn't noticed that while wearing it, but it's present in all three photos. However, in other respects the fit works well on me: lower buttoning point than many of the other SS cuts; slightly longer jacket length; and the fit slims my build, which is a bit barrelly up top.

Clags, are you just referring to the collar issue? Can something like that be fixed easily?

Ideally, I would like a Lazio-cut suit in that sky blue linen but with a SB waistcoat. OTOH the DB waistcoat is a point of difference. And of course I can always wear the suit as a 2pc.

Anyone else want to chime in?

Oh BTW it's rarely cold enough in Australia for a traditional 3-piece suit, but I like the look of them. I have a Pal Zileri 3-piece in Super 180s which works well in our climate. Melbourne might get eight to ten days in the year when an overcoat would be required.

So the 3-piece linen concept might not be so daft after all.

First thing that came to mind was *suit + C&J Rosemoor (- male genital look-a-like medallion) = success*

MF, I can't remember what your complexion is like. I have a type II skin on the Fitzpatrick scale - very fair, always burn, never tan. Plus I have greying hair. I would never wear the above suit for those reasons.

My 2 cents about cause.

I suspect that one's shoulder shape + how the jacket shoulder is padded and shaped is one cause of gaps.

I had shoulder pads put into a jacket that I bought with an unpadded shoulder that wasn't working for me. Unfortunately, this led to a a slight collar gap on one side. I can get rid of it by tugging down at the jacket and it stays sans gap while I walk. But it's there and it's where the jacket wants to naturally sit (e.g. if I stretch, it settles with gap). I live with it because I like the jacket, I can mostly eliminate it, and it looks better with padding.

Perhaps the same might work for you (slight tug down on the jacket so that it sits more snug on the collar). Still, I'd prefer a jacket where this is never an issue, so I would pass. You probably will be happier for it.

you can get a tailor to lower the collar - not worth the hassle. It could also be that the shoulder is a bit narrow and that's why collar gap. Have you tried sizing up? You can always take in waist while sizing up.
