Honestly, it's too short (forgetting everything else). Wears like the 29 inch in you pics a few posts ago. The vent is gaping a bit, button stance too high for your current tastes (which are appropriate). Shoulders aren't as clean as they could be (see Rudals 38 Isaia versus his 40 Zegna). Not a fan of the elbow patches but you'll be seeing those for a while (really popular last few years in Europe).

I say return. This is the thing about YOOX, a crapshoot. My two cents.

Also @luv2breformed , it could just be my eye, but the buttoning point seems far too high.

L2B, due to your posterior, err on the side of long for your jacket lengths. It might be possible for a tailor to let it out at the back to decrease the vent gaping.

Send the jacket back, for sure.

-Too short
-Too tight in the torso

Dang, I thought it looked kinda nice. Glad I consulted you guys before I snipped the tags.

My thoughts were as follows:

1. The buttoning stance is too high for my preference, it's about 3 inches above my navel however the quarters are closed enough that I don't see my belt so I'm ok with it.

2. I always get vent gaping. ALWAYS. Whenever I get jackets my tailor needs to do 2 alterations almost every time. Lengthen sleeves, and let out material in the side seams (on a center vent). I guess I'm just used to it. =/

3. My right shoulder is always messed up. I bet I have a sloping shoulder or something, but no matter what whenever I get a jacket the right shoulder looks jacked.

4. I don't mind the length. It covers my rear, but I can see what Clags is saying about the vent gaping accentuating it . . . Just measured the length and sure enough it's 29". That puts me off it a bit more.

I'll send 'er back, but I'm getting kinda frustrated trying to find a staple patch pocket navy blazer. Thanks for the help guys!

Yes he does. Also, do people buy Isaia lapel pins? Like....to pretend they're wearing Isaia?
I hate people.

OH HAI!!!! they are ******* awesome and i want one. does that surprise you?

up until now i would never pay for one tho. but i am reconsidering if only to give you grief.

---

l2b - biggest issue with that for me is the super closed quarters.

I hear that, but then Is it really any better to wear an Isaia pin on a forrealz Isaia suit? On an abstract level it's a cute little coral thingie, but at the end of the day it's a luxury clothing logo, albeit one less recognized by the general public. Anybody remember the guy here who used to wear Ferrari themed clothing? Would it be any worse if he wore that crap and didn't own a Ferrari? Not an apples to apples comparison I'll grant you, but an image of that guy just popped into my head and I thought it would be a fun mention.

If I remember correctly Kitonbrioni was the one who had cancer, right? I don't think PTWilliams died. At least, I hope he didn't.

They're a big ******* deal on fleabay.

I like the look of them too. Cool color. Less frilly than a felt flower lapel decoration. And certainly cooler than a flagpin

Good to see JRD back active on this thread.

Just made an appointment, finally, with Mr. Field Tailoring and will have my recent acquisition fitted to me. I will also talk to him about the whole bespoke process and if he could "guide" me. The turnaround time is 3 weeks.

Good thing I have access to a great tailor. I found out that my old tailor was a two-faced crook who borrowed $200k from my friend's dad and never paid him back. I only found this out when I took the friend to that tailor and...the dad was very pissed when he found out. He said, "Get your suit and come out immediately!" Plus he would turn me away if the alterations easnt gonna make him much money.

Stitch recommends, which is a good sign.

I'm generally an advocate of integrating bespoke pieces into your wardrobe (though I fully admit that RTW has its place). In your case specifically, you have a need of something that could be totally boss if bespoken.
