Funny thing. I was in the process of buying it. I posted that I was here. I forgot to hit submit on paypal and didn't notice until the next morning. By that time, it was sold out. Picked up a Hober Macc to replace it.

Speaking of Vanda, thoughts on pairing this with this? Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
AppleMark

(I'm sure there's a tidier way of putting these two images together on the same page, while still posting as links, though unsure/didn't want to take the time to figure out; any input on this appreciated for future reference)

I was looking at that tie this week...Pingsom put it to use nicely. Not sure how well it would work with that jacket, AJL.

I think we need to "release" Noodles into the wild for awhile. He needs to further develop his style.

At this point, he's like a chicken running around with his head chopped off. Bouncing from style to style, fit to fit, very unsure of what he likes. First he liked navy suits, then decided he wanted all grey suits, now thinks that grey suits look bad with his complexion and is purging his wardrobe

There's only so much we can spoonfeed him.

I say this out of love for our noodles.

I think@Murlsquirl will agree

From what I gather so far:
1. Prefers suits
2. CBD environment
3. Previously preferred fashion forward style re: narrow collars

Can we have a recap of:
1. How many suits?
2. What cut / style?
3. What colour and material?
4. What accessories re: belts and shoes

We can then assess the gaps in terms of Rudal's wardrobe fulfilling a number of requirements; and assess shirt and tie collection. The latter, much like shoes, should be easy if one follows the basics but too frequently, we get ahead of ourselves and make questionable choices when a sedate outlook would provide much better - and cost effective - results.

I wouldn't even touch PS's until the basics are resolved. More to the point, Rudal's measurements.

On that note, I'm more than happy to help out by offering to take this Vanda tie from whoever snagged the last one in stock.

Got a pair of shades that I believe is a better fit to my face AND that will go better with my suits.
Deets: Olivers People or something.
Believe this is better than the persols.

Dunno man, that tie seems very F/W to me. It'll look fine, but not perfect. Maybe, these from Howard Yount (more S/S):

Getting ready to order DA SUIT and a belt or two from NMWA. If I am 31, what belt size do I order? Is there some rul I want to follow? Maybe I should measure the belt that currently works for me...

I would bet money that Mrs. Noodles nixes the suspenders. There is a very strong association between those and ajjeoshi's here. Though actually, your wife is Korean as well, and she seems ok with it. I just know my wife hates when I wear them. Hates.

Noodles, belts typically have five holes, and a properly fitted belt fastens at the third of the five holes.

Interesting. From Vanda's website: "...this lightly lined six fold tie has a springy and airy feel that captures the essence of the season. The porous and dry nature of this fabric makes it ideal for the warmer months ahead of us."

What is it about the tie that strikes you as more F/W, color, pattern? Do you think the tie does not have robust enough texture to pair with the open weave of the SC?

Thank you for the alternate suggestions.

Color and pattern. But damned if something that sheer isn't a S/S tie.

Belt size should be one bigger than your pant size. You need a 34 belt.
