Thanks for the real world experience.

JR, as someone else said, all those ties should be darker. And you are much better off getting two Hobers than you are 5 from Tie Bar. Much, much, much better off. This is especially true for staples. As you get older/advance in your career, you'll have more money to spend on ties. If all of your staples ties are cheap, by the time you have money, you'll be buying ties with a bit more limited use as you've got your staples covered. You'll have a nifty rust orange neat from Panta you wear twice a month, and a brown grenafaux from Tie Bar you wear on a weekly basis.

True. Its the hard truth.

Well...with all the hard work (?) that you guys put in with your suggestions, I managed to get 1 effing tie. My apologies for pulling the trigger so slowly on some really good tie suggestions. I will get to them...eventually. But here is one good damn fine tie that @in stitches recommended. I appreciate all the help. I really need them LOL

Thoughts on this tie?  Too blue?  Would this work with Navy SC/Suit?

oh hell no, not with a navy jacket! :censored:

Let's pick a different colour...then again, every tie that's been suggested is for a navy blue jacket.

JR - grey suit.

Noodles - get the burgundy neat next.  Stop dicking about.

I am really thinking about ordering a bunch from Sam Hober. I love their grenades. May I get a dark grey grenade tie, a hunter green grenade, and a brown neat? Please???

New to this thread but fairly experienced with Hober ties...David's grenadines are fantastic and the color and weave selection is tremendous. I am far from an the most knowledgeable, but I like the color suggestions you propose above (also like mimo's burgundy suggestion).

Oh you got that right Pinkpanther. I have 3 Sam Hober grenade ties and they're freaking awesome! I just picked two colours that I didn't like. One is RED and the other is a light grey, which I thut was going to be a dark grey.

Get. The. Burgundy. Neat.  Now.

Then by all means get a green grenadine and a brown neat.  Skip the grey, you're already too grey.  Try a rust or similar - Shibumi's is beautiful colour, I believe Hober has something similar, maybe more towards the burnt orange.  You can carry that too.  But you're drifting back into Noodles-comfort-solids.  Start with the neats.

Alright, alright. I won't shy back into my cave. I'll get those two neats.

By the way, what's the avg temp where you are, MIMO? It seems pretty darn hot from what I can see in the background.
