oh yes the Canadian system; first you pay for the health system and when you need it you'd better go private or... not to mention the quality.

In Canada you have to fill so much paperwork you need a University degree just to go through the tax financed services,...

Well, university degree I have that, so I'm lucky 😂

Canada is now introducing assisted dying bill, seams very liberal one. So in case I am not satisfied with health care, there is an alternative 😂

Can I summon @Academic2 as one does a Pokemon?

Also, I'm keeping @heldentenor in reserve. This thread is missing a good discussion of the long term economic impacts of the Reconstruction on the South.

I’m here, cheerfully taking refuge in the standard scholarly disclaimer:  “It’s not my area of research.” :)

Dear fellow FOMEFKAN's (forum members formerly known as Noodlers), sorry to interrupt this interesting conversation for a clothing related question: does anyone know how to get olive oil stains out of suede shoes?

Sorry to hear this.  (I normally mop up with some rustic Italian bread and some sea salt ...)

I know some people use corn starch, but you might be better off asking over on the big shoe care thread.  There are some serious shoe people over there.

Good luck.

Cheers,

Ac

True that. Wander over to current events now and then and some of the dribble that comes out of there makes Noodles sound like a nun.

So that's where @Tibor got the inspiration for his fedora.

Sounds to me like diatomaceous earth. @EliodA that might be easier to search for

I feel like that picture also describes the mood of the forum well.

At left is SWD, in a kind of neo-workwear garb, drapey, wrinkled fit, and swagger.

At center is CM, ramrod straight and in robo pose.

At right is Fedora Lounge
