Good Natured Advice Thread (improving a business wardrobe) - Page 2416

Congrats! Do post about your experiences if your employer will permit.

I think I will undergo some training and so on first, and it might take a while, but I'll be sure to post some examples when that is possible, and I look forward to critique and opinions when that happens! I think I will enjoy talking to people about styling and options, guiding people into more trad territory. It's like all these things I'm learning on styleforum will finally actually benefit someone!

Noodles, why don't you get an MTM suit from me? :smarmy:

Congrats! When will you start? I will be in Hong Kong next month :)

That is, until you get @The Noodles as customer...

Hahaha.

I'll be working with HK tailor to measure for and advice their london customers (so they pick their fabric and have basted fittings ready for when they arrive in HK to cut down on time and get more fittings in before they leave). But if you're looking I can always recommend the tailor to you, and maybe ask them for a discount, but I don't know if you'd want to take the chance =P

They made this jacket for me, in any case:

But they told me they've changed to a better tailor since then. I'm going to get something made with them (for a friend, with me measuring) before I actually recommend them with my reputation or anything, but it'll be fun.

No, you're right, forgot where they were based.

Iso, this is MTM or bespoke fittings in HK? If the former, I will try you when I'm in London just out of friendship. And because I have no self discipline.

It can be either, you can ship it back to them to alter based on my comments or measurements, or go to Hong Kong to be altered by their tailor, but I'd wait until we've ironed out the process. I'll keep you posted tongue.gif at the start I'm just getting clients ready by picking out fabrics and choosing styles and getting initial measurements I think.

Any idea of your price range?  I know you're not going to be spamming this thread and it's early days yet, but I think you're allowed to give an indication one time. :)

I think it'll be like 500-600 USD for entry level fabrics. Maybe a bit less? So in line with other MTM companies I think. Below Luxire and Kent Wang.

Should be with you in about  two weeks :)
