I'd rather you go balls-to-wall crazy and buy a whole TF wardrobe.

You would go down in the annals of SF as a BADASS MOFO.

OK, let's start with Tom Ford. Beautifully made for TF by Zegna Couture, and cut for an athletic build, with plenty of chest drape, room for large trapezius muscles, a very narrow waist, and considerable shoulder padding (which may help Noods - it certainly worked for me). Generally featuring unusual and very high quality cloths. TF suits are crazy expensive but you can see where your money is going.

I thought the shoulder padding on TFs was a myth. It has a pronounced shoulder, but not too much padding. Most of the shape comes from the extra layers of canvas on the chest.

If you look at Noodles' TF pic, the shoulders look moderate.

I still think the Formosa shoulder looks way better than the TF shoulders.

You mean in general, or on Noodles?

That is a fucking deal.

How extensively will they alter fit? Is it more of an Oxxford MTM (eg, almost everything goes), or are the changes more modest?

Maybe it depends on the suit. I'm pretty sure mine (which was probably from about three or four seasons ago) had more than just canvas in the shoulders. It was fully lined so not easy to be certain, but it felt like padding in there too. Spongy stuff.

It is completely made-to-measure...just about anything goes.

Ask Greg in the No Man Walks Alone thread if you have more questions...I am a mere customer. He runs the show.

@PCK1 assuming the price you quoted earlier was a 2 piece?

Yes single breasted...and of course varies based on cloth selection...the trunk show was a really good deal.

Nice to meet Greg too.

Do you by chance recall the cloth used?

Note: sorry for derailing the thread Noods :D

It's better than the normal Formosa/NMWA discussion that comes around ITT regularly.

Is everyone speaking objectively about Formosa suits/jackets? This is a serious question and I just want to make sure that these endorsements are not blind ones. Mr. Six looks good but does not look great like Sebastian Fox.

Note to @Mr. Six - it is an objective observation and I got nothing against you.
