I'm with you - other jackets are all too short by varying degrees, most purchased prior to full StyFo indoctrination. Won't shorten!

I do think ideally I might want 0.25 - 0.5 shorter but glad to hear the pics make them out to be a reasonable length. Strangely, the site measurements for these has them at 28.7" BOC but I measure both at 28.3"

@jcmeyer  ignore my chest bowing concern.  i re-examined the photos.  Might be me projecting some of my own experience on you.  I'd also like to tell you about my childhood and how that has affected me....:lookaround:

Yeah, I wasnt really a fan of any of the ones I saw.

CaptainTohm - Can you elaborate on what youre looking for?

Basically we know right now -
has to be navy
for spring/summer
are you set on it being a blend? (does it have to have linen?  - would you be open to an open weave fresco/crispaire/etc? would you be open to other typical summer fabrics like solaro, or even a pure linen? Can you go full Caustic Trad and get a seersucker?)

Oh man, your tolerance for your fellow human being must be far greater than mine!

Every time I've been recently, I just camp out by the bar across the the Mickey roller coaster lol...just don't have the heart to brave the crowds. Except for the Dole Whip ice cream thingy!

take the day off, go early in the morning when it opens - ride every ride within the first 3-4 hours (use fastpasses strategically), then leave by afternoon

I've never owned a full-linen piece before, but I do have a wool-linen jacket that I like. I asked to see the blends because I figured they would be less to a pain to take care of, but maybe I'm overthinking how much linen wrinkles.

I posted some open weave wool fabrics earlier and the general response was that I was wasting a perfectly good excuse to get a linen or linen-blend.

@Caustic Man The year I actually go to the Derby is the year I buy a seersucker. This is not that year.

I am interested to get the crowd's thoughts.  I have a navy wool/mohair blend suit that is great for business travel in the summer.  Half lined, flap pockets, but with medium brown horn buttons.  For everyone in the world other than SFers, I can pull off a traveling blazersuit with it.  I just bought 3.5M of the Fresco 0520 from a member here, but I am not sure I will have it made up immediately, but it will be a full on blazersuit, with patch pockets.  I am looking for a less-than-navy summer blazersuit in linen or a linen blend.  Something like

or

please advise
