Removing lining and having to finish seams was the labor intensive part. Total bill was $250, but well worth it. Jacket is a powder blue hopsack and now far more useful, feels lighter and more comfortable in warmer weather. To my mind, the cost was worth it as I now have a jacket I'll wear more. Was purchased a a mtm pre-SF when I didn't know better. From a looks point of view, shoulder has a more roped look.

Would love to see some pics of this experiment...been thinking about doing the same with some of my rigs.

I'm a lurker that doesn't post much, but I'm coming out of the woodwork to agree with this wholeheartedly.

This is what happens when you don't come to this place more often. I know it is a dumb idea but I wanted to ask since I am cluesless when it comes to menswear.

All jokes aside and all trolling aside, I would like to thank @heldentenor for his kindness by sending these great ties for a good cause. I will deliver these ties to the young man this week! Thank you, again!

Just do like me, go to Hong Kong and get a suit churned out in 2 weeks.

Anyway dressed well made fun of me too. My fragile ego will take a while to recover. =[

@heldentenor , where are the three knits/grens from? I like em!

The grenadines are all from Chipp.  They're solid workhorses, but I reach for grossa weaves much more often and almost never wear suits, so I thought I'd pass the more "conservative" fina weaves on.
