black suede is where it's at...you all are behind in the times.

Now that I finally have a pair of black casual shoes, I'm surprised at how little I want to wear anything else with denim.

I think I will get a black suit and wear it with a white shirt and a black pindot tie. I think NE Asians can pull this off fine.

Hackett. Loro Piana WSL. 70% off. I don't have a navy jacket in an open weave like this.

Buy?

Sorry, I'm on my phone so I can't do the 'rolls eyes' emoji.

Strictly speaking, no.

...or this one for total FUness -

I'm not personally feeling either one, @Coxsackie. The hacking pockets, slimmer (though maybe not dealbreakingly so) lapels, lumpyish shoulders, and maybe some collar gap in there? You can see everything better than we can in the pics, but unless 70% off means next-to-nothing, I think I'd pass. YMMV!

Pass, not feeling the lapels

I don't have any summer suiting. I may not need summer suiting. But if I want summer suiting, would this be a reasonable foray into such things? I'd like to be able to wear it as seperates as well, so the color seems a good mid-brown for that - in that the jacket could go with light grey trous and the pants could work with a blue hopsack blazer.

Agree? Disagree? What says the jury?

Wool/silk/linen Hudson, apparently fully lined, which may not really matter.

As usual, level heads prevail. But I kinda like that tangerine linen...

FYI, "suiting" refers to the fabric of which suits are made. You seem to be using the term as if it were synonymous with "suits." A common #menswear mistake. smile.gif
