I thought most late night hosts got the suits for free as part of an endorsement deal. I think Armani was listed the last time I looked when the credits were rolling. That might have been Jon Stewart though. Whoever the suit maker, John Oliver's show is awesome.

You're correct - Jon Stewart wore Armani suits and I think he auctioned them off for charity one he retired. I think Colbert wears Brooks Brothers and I'm not sure who anyone else from late night TV wears.

^ that is all accurate. Colbert now is some BB and some bespoke. He spoke on his Late Show podcast about how superior his bespoke suits are over his BB suits. Go figure.

I have heard that Ferraris are faster than Buicks, too.

Okay - now I see why suits are much easier.
Clags - I have a similar coat below (RLBL Nigel basketweave). What pant color/material for west coast weather? Thx much

Go Team Coco and Connan!

Stay away from having the floors match the cabinets!

HAHAHA! I think he's suggesting that it would be obvious to you if you had watched the show regularly. I believe the point he is making is that since John Oliver regularly espouses leftwing liberal ideas with a populist/democratic socialist bent, that wearing Tom Ford, perhaps the fashion name most linked with conspicuous consumption and power fashion, is incongruous. I personally don't care. He can be a communist in Prada for all I care. Dude is awesome. I doubt he picks his own suits for the show anyway.

But the curtains should always match the drapes.

Loved his commentary on FIFA and college athletes getting paid.

Not to turn this into the John Oliver thread, but his piece on televangelists is just pure gold:

Anyone who has ever rolled their eyes or worse at these snake oil salesmen is highly encouraged to watch this.
