Shirt is light blue. I feel like white linen isn't optimal in this case, but I couldn't figure out what to go with instead.

A tastefully patterned dark purple, dark green or even navy blue would look good

^None. Pocket squares are a distraction with business suits and overrated. Simple white linen works most of the time and no PS works all the time. My new philosophy subject to change

/\ agree, but it's not a business suit, nor does it say anywhere that it's being worn for business.

Thanks. I have something like that which I could try it with.

Tbh, my initial gut feeling was "no PS", but then I decided to have the white linen. I tried a couple of PS, not something similar to what Sebastian suggested though, and I instantly felt that they all were to much with this outfit.

As for the outfit, it's worn in business, that's correct. I have several pocket squares in different colors/textures/patterns, but I honestly never feel comfortable with that (any) amount of colour popping out of my chest pocket, thus I go with white linen 99/100 times.

O'rly?

On another those Rubinacci victory squares would work. They have enough white/cream base to make them less of a distraction

This. I have also decided recently to limit my choices for hanks to plain white or nothing.

Guys thanks for the help so far. I'm making slow but steady progress!  The last piece I need to get this year is a pair of shoes.  I'm going to Madrid next week over Thanksgiving and will be stopping by Meermin and Carmina.  I'm hoping my CFO will approve the extra $$ for the Carmina (it was a no brainer until the recent price hike).   Assuming the lasts fit me equally as comfortable, any GNAT preferences on Carmina or Meermin lasts?  Going for a dark brown cap-toe.

Question: What do you guys do when wearing a sweater vest with suspenders and you have to use the stall in the Men's? What a bummer.

Kulata and EliodA are masters and I am a noob. Still, I would recommend you check out the fits of @Pliny for inspiration here...

A.B.C.

It stands for Always Be Closing in the sales world, but here on SF it stands for Always Believe Cleav.

I found this out as nature was calling lol.

Unless there are wizards among us, I suggest being prepared to undress a decent amount!

Add to that the wearing of a pocket watch with chain, with the waistcoat of a proper three-piece suit, the trousers of which are held up by suspenders/braces, and you experience what it's like to be me, when I'm dressed up that way. Planning is paramount . . .
