Or am I just feeding the troll at this point?

That's just plain mean.  What have KW or AL ever done to you that you would send Noodles their way for a suit?

Yikes, you should've stayed with nomanwalksalone and the Formosa suits.

Women always seem to struggle and say, "Omigod, so many buttons" when trying to rip open pants with a three-point closure (I don't know, maybe they were expecting an elastic waistband?), so I really wonder about you guys that get the Neapolitan special with the 18 buttons and cordovan leather chastity belt. Are you getting any?

Would love some advice on which suede combination I should use to replicate the EG Shannons.

Base of Shoe & Heel Tab - Brown Museum

Upper Shoe - One of three options below of Suede

Lacing Holes & Tongue - Brown Scotchgrain

Option A. Dark Brown Suede

Option B. Medium Brown Suede

Option C. Red Brown Suede

Which combination gets your vote?

Open to your suggestions as well. Perhaps, I should use antic cognac scotchgrain instead of brown. Antic Cognac looks like this:

Must of us are married. So no.

But if I were in such a position, I suppose I'd say: all good things come on those who wait.

I've always thought of it as a test, to see how dedicated they are. If they can't/won't solve the Neapolitan trouser pussle, you're not putting out.

Perhaps sprout can't afford to be picky?

(though I regret all my button flies and they're all single row)

For me it is the fiddling at the public urinals, unfastening each button, whilst the guy either side of you have done their business and zipped up or waiting for a cubicle to open up, hereby standing, loitering outside an occupied cubicle, crossing your legs, fiddling.

I was curious and flirted with the buttoned-fly Neapolitan make; it no longer has my attention. Back to zips for me! Although i still ask for an extended waistband.

I suppose it depends on the amount of contrast you would like. The most cohesive combo IMO is Option D, Antic Cognac… definitely get rid of Option A. My second choice would be Option C Red/Brown suede as the light/dark inversion of the EG... if that's what you're going for. It seems that combo is a little more showy, while the others a bit more sedate and that makes a difference in the choice to me. Not sure if that's what you're considering, but FWIW that my 2 cents. Hope it helps. smile.gif

Awesome boots regardless … I would wear them all.

Sorry to interrupt the conversation regarding button verse zippers (FWIW I like buttons on my denim and chinos and zippers on my dress pants), but I have another question.

Who makes the best black knit tie? I was considering the one from Kent Wang, but it seems like it is 7cm. Is this too narrow, or are knit ties immune from conventional tie width preferences?

Nobody. It all depends on what you want in a knit tie.

And yes, knits are immune from width preferences.

Yes.

Those EG Shannons are horrific. Tri-color bal boot with metal eyelets is a complete and utter bastardization of a bal boot.

I am heathen who doesn't understand EG Galways as a general rule - why should a rugged boot tend to have a grained leather shaft, but smooth leather lowers? Don't you want the grained leather where the abuse will tend to occur? Seems to be upside down...

It's a > $1,000 'beater' boot, and your problem with it is that the grain is the wrong way around?
