Do you ever spend much time worrying about girth variation?

I'm kind of interested in getting a lighter-colored suit.

Is it that bad?

I like the color just fine and if you are looking for something lighter, you could do worse than Brooks Brothers. Do you know what the structure is? I think a lot of the people in this thread tend to go either bespoke or custom MTM, so likely their opinions of OTR/RTW are less than favorable.

Thanks! I don't have any additional information on it... I may call and find out. I might just try it out. I can always return it if it doesn't work.

I might have to send it back. I asked for a light touch and they gave me a Full Windsor.

Random number. But 93% would have been better (as 3.75 is about 7% wider than 3.5).

Note that Hober's allowance is .125 on width...half of what Cappelli's is...while charging much less than Cappelli does.

Oh okay.

Never used Capelli, have only used Hober, and his ties have always been amazing (have 4).

Is it the girth or the length that matters?

It's not horrible, and as Koala noted, you could do much worse. You don't see much Brooks Brother's on SF at this point so I think that's why you didn't get much love when it was posted. From my untrained eye it seems like the button point is high and the lapels look skinny. Not sure about the canvassing on this particular BB suit. I guess it is worth a shot since you can always return for free. For $50 more you could always go the SuitSupply route (which is more favored around here).
