How did it go? Did they buy what you were selling?

See gazman 70 instagram and Vanda, potential source for navy seersuckerctie

All seems a bit try-hard to me. Plus guys weren't that "built" in the sixties.

The pagoda shoulders are cool though.

We're talking about Superman here tho.

Not a fan of Pagoda, but I admit they do look good on a guy that well-built.

Agree the ticket pocket is an affectation (always r imo) but I think the facings are a nice touch.

A Korean friend mentioned a Korean tie company called "Mannergram." I promptly ignored him due to the name and the accompanying logo "the beauty of slowness."

But actually, they appear to carry some pretty nice ties. 8.5cm width. Some awful ones too. But handrolled seven fold grenadines start at 75 USD

They also have a wool seersucker tie:

I know Kent Wang and Chad Park both have suits in that fabric.

Seems like the slogan on the website

"How much does the soul weigh?"

Is this a translation thing that makes sense in korean but not in english?

Some of the ties look nice, tie i was looking at was sold out though

I have no idea how Koreans come up with their slogans. I suspect much--though not all--of the oddity comes from translation. BnT's slogan is "The beauty of handmade". I don't quite understand the etymology of their name though. I think before the sons became involved, they were Boryeong Tailors, and I suspect that's where the "B" comes from. I don't know how the ampersand got there, but that later became the "n".

Probably from & sons, which is quite common for older companies and family businesses.

In light of Carmina's imminent price increase, I may jump on these. What do GNAers think of Suede Chukkas. More specifically, tobacco suede Chukkas? Is it just a casual shoe?

They're supposed to be casual, but some people (like me) even wear them with worsted suits.

Edit: sorry, missed the tobacco bit. Maybe too light, and thus firmly casual...

The spelt Coffee could have easily been rinsed out in a restroom sink and patted dry with paper towels.

Suede chukkas are the most beautiful things.

Carmine price increase is only like $11, no need to rush.

EG increase is ~200, and StC is ~300 if I recall correctly. Damn US retailers
