Sure, there was some of that.

There was a ton of petty bickering, too, though. I was here to read it all.

I also find the  apotheosis of characters on the forum very amusing whilst showing disdain for true breathing doyens  of relative modern menswear like Armani, Uncle Ralph, Sexton et al. The old guard were repository of information. The new guard are too and so on and so forth

But now you're in that "95%" of his witty remarks.

Vox departed after a confrontation with the owners of SF over a bicycle thread and the future course of the forum (he felt SF was turning into a commercial enterprise). That's how he put it at any rate.

I'm on SF withdrawal, but because of summer I've basically gone casual. You can have more of my shitty sub-classic fits in a month or two. I've got a linen and tweed trenchcoat comissioned and I'm waiting to post it so people can tell me how linen trench coats make no sense.

I remember the incident but not the details so I didn't feel like mentioning it.

I think there was also some clashing over a mods only part of the forum, or mod features allegedly being abused. Not sure who all the people involved in that one were, but apparently a big piece of the falling out happened on a part of the site where only mods could read it.

At any rate, that was years ago and this is a forum about clothes so honestly who gives a shit?

Hi Vox! It's good to know you're still watching over us after all these years, like a flannel clad guardian angel.

Monkey has now responded to his own post twice in a row. Being quoted by Vox may have addled his brain.

Well...SF is a commercial enterprise.  Doesn't mean it isn't fun, does mean it's important to keep some perspective.

As I keep trying to educate my kids about anything on the internet: if you're on a website and neither paying for something nor selling something, then you are the product.  Simple as that.

To be fair, he was also quoted twice in a row by Vox.:satisfied:
