I get the leaving brands out, but since with shoes brand is a pretty good quality indicator maybe you could say what each of these is?

Agree with @jssdc on this one. I like the silhouette of the left shoe much better than the one on the right.

The one on the right looks like Edward Green. I agree that it appears to fit better.

I think the chisel toe may be en vogue ATM but the rounder toe is definitely more classic and my choice.

@Ds13, if you have no preference between the two, then go with the round toe as it is more classic.

just to be clear, by round toe you guys mean the one on the right? (as you are looking at the pictures, not my right foot)

On a spherical planet is there even such a thing as left and right? But yes, round toe shoe - right of the picture, your left foot.

In other "choose between two" news - which do you prefer for overall preference and versatility? I can't afford Dovers or I would go that route. First is polo suede.

Polo just cause suede is awesome. Deets?
Truth. Though is pebble too, also, not awesome as well - in addition to suede? Chew on that!

Suede is awesome"r". I've been looking for something like that though so I need the deets

Damn, point-counterpoint!

Live on the Carmina site as we speak: http://www.carminashoemaker.com/mens-derby-shoes/norwegian-suede-polo-80414

Forest last, which I like but many might find a bit short on the outsole and not as sleek as the Rain.

Thanks everyone. You guys helped make my decision much easier. The ones I'll be keeping are Peal & Co, the more sleek last that I will be getting rid of are Allen Edmonds.

Edit: So not crazy high quality either way, but since I don't wear black shoes often it won't bother me.

Ha! Suede, calf, pebble I know em.

Good pebble/golf grain/whatever is worth paying the premium for nod[1].gif

Add to that I have several Carmina and their suede, for me, is by far the stand out. Just saying mate...
