Noodle's thread isn't in dispute as far as I know. The name is cemented and 10 years from now, new users should be talking about the Noodle legend; the man and his grey fresco Formosa suit. biggrin.gif

Actually, more than once upthread Claghorn has offered to change NGNAT to GNAT.

This took place some time during the past 50,000 posts, by which I mean the last 48 hours ...

Cheers,

Ac

Not quite sure I agree with that.

The only two people who seem to really care about changing the name are @The Noodles because he's being all Noodlely about it and @ridethecliche because, actually, I'm not sure about his reasons.

Though I like the idea of keeping the Noodles moniker on there for the reasons similar to those outlined by Ac2 above, if @LA Guy thinks that the more direct "Good Natured Advice Thread" will be more welcoming to new members seeking some GNA, then I'm all for the change.

If only it was a grey flannel suit...

Am I a nerd?

Here's a list of my non-work-related interests over the past decades:

- music (mainly classical and jazz)

- English literature

- philosophy

- fine art

- historic house restoration/preservation

- antique furniture

- quantum physics and cosmology (popular level)

- mechanical watches

- menswear

- fucking sexy girls

I'd say that gives me about a 9/10 on the Nerd Index.

Every nerd is interested in that, but many don't actually do it

Maybe I'm just a nerd who got lucky then.

Would you spoiler it then!

Maybe this is the wrong thread to ask, but I was randomly just researching some of SuSu's lines, and I watched the video for La Spalla (http://us.suitsupply.com/en_US/la-spalla-fit.html)... maybe I'm uneducated in the nomenclature for shoulders (I have read the shoulder thread, though), but the shoulder in the guy's suit doesn't look like any of the spalla camicia's I've seen... looks a little roped to me. Does a shoulder just have to be pleated to be a spalla camicia?

So. This is a dumb question perhaps, but where do you guys hear music generally? I was actually more aware of popular American songs in Korean than I was in the United States; music is blared constantly on the streets of Seoul, generally a mixture of American pop and K-Pop. Here, I don't hear any music anywhere outside of what they play in cafes. I thought this was a product of my habit of wearing headphones all the time, but I went two weeks without (broken headphones) and didn't notice any difference in my exposure.
