"Hate" is a strong word. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Anyway, nice to see you back to contributing to sartorial banter.

I generally don't wear cuffs, but in my most recent (green) suit, I got 1.5 and I'm 5'10 barefoot

Also, damn stitches, thanks for the explanation. Makes sense. Also, Griffey!!!

I'd be happy to change the title and the opening post. I don't seem to have control of that (@LA Guy
can you help?). I kind of like #styfodude, we'll get more hits on twitter. Or is "for grownups" too snooty.

@kulata
you deserve a lot of credit for bringing that thread up, so happy if you suggest a name. Shall we discuss here or there?
Do it. The thread is yours, it's just a place for me to play with pics. biggrin.gif

Do 1.75" and make sure you go into the tailor shop determined because they will try to talk you out of it.

6ft here and 1.75" on all my trousers. That's a compromise from 2.00" that I wanted.

BTW: Anyone who has had to deal with grad students during office hours at US universities will know that "Grad Lounge" could not possibly be pretentious. Tweedy professors, on the other hand...

I’m thinking orange or brown, but all suggestions are welcome.

Cheers,

Hi Ac, imo a slubby dk brown Shantung would be nice, like pic below (navy Fresco).

Hober doesn't do Shantung, but his rough silk might do the trick.  There's no brown, but there is charcoal

edit:  and a plum which would do navy well imo

All joking aside, the title doesn't bother me.  Changing it wouldn't bother me either.

I'm easy to please.

Cheers,

Ac

Anyone who has had to deal with grad students as an undergrad will know that "Grad Lounge" can, indeed, be pretentious. :)

Grad students are just more bitter and generally less good looking.

@TweedyProf et al., I'm happy to change the name of that thread, if someone gives me something to work with.

Self Selection plus a growing feeling that you've done something very wrong with your life.
