You misunderstand what I am getting at. I said long term. I'd say if all of your suits are in some sort of 3 season cloth and you wear a suit 6 days a week, you can get by with 7 suits. Of course they don't all have to be perfect and in the short-term there are cheaper options he can get by on. Once you have a couple seasonal suits (in his case, flannel and Fresco), this number is going to increase. Noodles also has a preference to not wear his wedding suit too often and from what I recall, his last beater is not in good shape.
Encouraging Noodles to discover his taste is precisely what I am doing. That's why I talked about options, have explained Steed's style and process and have at times encouraged him to look at less expensive options that work well as part of a long-term plan.
But the thought of getting a Steed suit and having a picnic attack is...scary
I see your point. I will continue to do my research. I think being on the side lines and observing will let me learn better. It's just a phase in this long term process. I'd like to see someone else have a picnic attack for a change.
