hober's slate blue might work

You're right EliodA. It is midnight navy. Almost black. I am not sure who wud carry the color you're looking for. If Hober has them, check out the real life pictures in their gallery or the SF Hober thread.

FYSA...if anyone like wide pointed end knits, The Knottery just did a big restock.  It'll be the best $40 you've spent in a long time.

There is a really nice slate blue fina that many places (myself included) carry. You are right though it especially lends itself to light-mid grey suits for a lower contrast look.

I lol'ed at that. biggrin.gif

And then, I had ~16 pages to catch up with. Alas, it went pretty straight onto some "Semper-Kabbutt" and his/their $1k shirts. After three pages of that ordeal à la 'Will I ever get that lost time back?', I jumped straight to the last page. Have I missed anything important in between?

Fair point. There are always outliers of course in the mass of humanity, but if you have the fitness and the right attitude you can be SW&D cool pretty much your whole life. I know more than a few guys in their 60's and 70's who are waaaaayyyy cooler and dress way cooler than most dudes half their age.

Haha, yeah I was surprised nobody picked up on that...
Anyway, I don't think you've missed much so your time is most definitely wasted.
In the meantime the thread has gone full circle and the latest discussion seems to be about ties smile.gif

Loved to see that.

The latter is about as much "fun" as watching paint dry. As would be my own attempts.
Rais otoh, different story.

The next one talking about ties gets a whooping... That goes especially for the so clinically obsessed. @TweedyProf
