A sliver is just right. But agreed on the inch.

Stop arguing with me, dammit!

It wasn't the melanin. It wasn't the non-Jooishness. It wasn't even when I shaved off the beard. It was the lack of navy SC that did it.

Happy you're endorsing one of my recent splurges. Others I got from HC were the black/white glen check (pow) and dark blue Mogador (on sale, too).

(PS: Now I'm a "Senior", dammit...)

I was looking at the dark blue Mogador too -- seems like it may work well in a more casual atmosphere. Valentines day has run me dry though so I may have to wait for pay day next week (fingers crossed they are still there).

Sorry to say my friend the dark blue Mogador is now sold out. I think I've got about 3 of the blue plaid linen blend left.

Clearly I'm in a summer mood. Thoughts on this guy? I have NO shantung and am thinking I could get a few shantung repps for summer.

I like it:

But it isn't anywhere as near as versatile as those knits you purchased from Henry Carter. I'd back off if the bidding gets too high. There are other places where you'd want to prioritize your tie closet (shantung included....just not a multistripe)

Ok, I probably will, as I have been on a kopping spree and I still have a few staples that I lack entirely. I just rarely see shantung on the secondary market and it seems that they are hard to come by unless you want to pay $100+ a pop. What should I be looking for in shantung in particular? Solids?

@luv2breformed

You sure you're not buy too much at once?

I think you're making good purchases though. :fonz:
