The effect in question depends not, I think, on the waist alone but on the relative proportions between shoulder, waist, and hips.

Oh, also on camera angle and possible lens distortions ...

I think this pic settles everything.

Now all the pictures will be deleted.

I actually really like the second one. I struggle with this too, and I'm honestly not sure what causes it. However, too many of my suits make me look like a fat guy wearing a nice suit, which is strange since I'm 5'8 and a very fit 130lbs.

I agree with you. Some people/cuts look nice with a nipped waist, which produces a pronounced "V". The "heavier on the bottom" hourglass is the problem.

When professional photographer takes pictures, she tilts the freaking camera like \ towards me. I better slap her back to Seoul.

Gentlemen,

Kent Wang trousers have arrived and I would like for this to mark the beginning of OJT (Odd Jacket/Trousers) for Noodles.

How versatile could this shade of gray be?

That's not versatile at all.
Uh, pretty much as versatile as it gets. Do you retain anything you read on here, Noodles?!
It depends - do they make you look hippy or not?

That's what I gathered but just wanted to confirm. I wish it was lighter than this but oh well.
