Anyone into Shinola watches out of Detroit for something in the sub-$700 realm?

I like it as a community project.  Not so much as a watch.  But for that price, perhaps no reason not to.

@Nemo~
Seriously??? Used IWC for less than 5k?

Like Vanda Ties? (Click to show)
Trade? PM me. Vanda wool blend. Standard size.

I recently picked up a Seiko Sumo as a weekend watch in order to save some of the wear and tear on my Tag.  @mimo , I almost got a Seiko 5 to fill this niche, but ended up wanting the Sumo.  I'm very impressed with the quality of the Seiko divers when considering their low price point.

Iwc has poor resale since positioning themselves as a high end fashion watch. Richemont really did the brand a disservice in that way.

Me too, I love my Orange Monster.

And Noodles, you can get it new on the grey market, for less than 7.

That brand does a good job isolating everything that's wrong with the current watch industry.

Spend as much as you want, Noodles. A price point to match every budget:

In order to avoid bias I'm not going to disclose the makers (the sharp eye will identify them anyway). I'm having a hard time legitimizing keeping both these shoes and need your opinion. Color is similar for both. Which would you keep? Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

And yes, I know I can keep both, but it seems a bit redundant, no?

I'd keep them both because reselling shoes is a losing proposition.

I get back what I paid if I return one of them. But keeping that variable out of the equation; from an aesthetical point of view, which one would you prefer keeping?

I like the lines and silhouette of the one with the more rounded toe.  The lines of the toe on the other one are severe and not as graceful.

Fun you should say that, because this is my feeling to. It looks angular.

Agreed @DonRaphael the one on the right seems more attractive to my eye.

Carmina Rain Last by any chance?

Really? Even with the obvious signs of wear? I'd probably go for the second pair. The brogue without the extra panel of leather on the first one looks unbalanced to me.
