I think Stitchy wears 54 in Eidos.  I've had hands on that fabric...it's awesome.

Thnx, doods. Yeah, 54 Eidos. And even then the cut that I have is quite snug on me. I'm not sure that it is the brand for me.

Noodle's Weekend Schedule:

Birdseye to local tailor in the morning.

PoW to Field Tailor at 01:30.

New suit? If bonus is that good.

They'll meet soon enough. We'll still be here when you guys come in the early fall.

As it stands now, that would spell disaster beyond the movie 2012. Let's hold off on that for a bit. I know they probably have a lot in kommon. My fear is "oh your husband has his own thread" kind of slippage. Luckily and surprisingly, wife doesn't care about me talking to Claghorn but she despises SF (for obvious reason).

We can let them talk if your wife (Mrs L.) and my wife (Mrs. C.) after they meet. I just don't know what will slip.

I told my boss that the conferences are a complete waste of time BUT our dept budgeted for it so I will most likely be there in Taxes.

I don't understand. You guys are laughing at me that I will get to wear my p.o.w. only once 'cus it is flannel but you're encouraging me to add another flannel???

Long game, son. We here 'bout long game.

A suit you plan on wearing ten years, who cares about missing a season

Good natured experts, would this be a wise addition to my meager (but growing!) collection of sportcoats?

I've been taught to go after some good staples before the extravagant. What is in your closet right now?

@The Noodles take your bonus check to BnTailor ASAP. Don't analyze it. Just do it!!!

a) do you already have staples that fit you well (well, not necessarily perfect, but well by SF standards)?

b) do you know for a fact that that will fit you well (you've worn that brand and model before)?

Unless you give two yeses, I'd hold off. Gray is a tough--not impossible--color to wear for a sports coat.

I like the pattern, but it looks like a charcoal or gray ground color. That can be very difficult to pair things with in a sport coat. The bellows pockets are kinda meh. Personally I'd pass on it, but it's not something that you couldn't make work. I just don't know how versatile it is, especially for someone just starting out.

Edit: Clags beat me to it. Basically, what he says.

I have navy, beige and POW sportcoats; this one looks more brown with charcoal stripes to my eyes, like this:
