NS1, did you already commit?

Not yet, but strongly considering it.  I was on a no purchase kick that I wanted to last through September, but what do you do when a GMTO comes along that might be just what you're looking for.

You asked in another thread about Carmina's snuff suede.  Here is a picture straight out of the box and another after the Nano spray darkened them:

In hindsight, I realize I used too much nano spray back in June as my shoes are still waterproof 8 months later.  :hide:

Yes, but in tobacco suede.  Love them and more versatile than originally thought.  You should get on the GMTO for the 5 eyelet in veg brown calf via Gentlemen's footwear...we need one or two more...:)

Only pictures I could find.  Unfortunately these are both pants with fairly narrow leg openings, so may not be the best example of how much lace is showing.

That is a great looking boot.  You may have just enabled me.  It's interesting that you mention versatility as that concern is what is holding me back.  Are you mainly wearing them with jeans or with dressier fits?  I find myself in jeans less and less nowadays and, when I am, it's usually in a setting where a light brown suede ankle boot might stand out a little too much.

Skoak.  There's a mad rush of GMTO's over there since Skoak announced a price increase going into effect March 1st.  The GMTO is Euro's boot in snuff suede with a Danite sole.  I think I'm in.  @thehaven22 is organizing it.

Nice gents. Lasts? Rain/Simpson?

Thanks @europrep...it seems in terms of darkness, they are in the same ballpark and would look ok with mid-gray. Tobacco looks redder though who can tell with lighting and cameras being different.

@New Shoes1 Are those mid or light gray trousers?

I'm inclined to snuff suede right now...

Increases from the manufacturers.

It does seem like Carmina's increase is only 3-4%. It's EG that's really jumping +15% (incidentally, if anyone is ever thinking about buying EG, it does seem like Skoak's pricings are very nice for a few more weeks).

I have worn them with jeans as well.  In the first picture above I am wearing a sportcoat, no tie and it worked.  Second pic I am wearing just a sweater and also worked well.  These also have the dainite sole...spray them with Nano and they hold up well in bad weather.

One more side view I found:

@New Shoes1 same Q: last?

Rain last...same as GMTO.

Here is the GMTO I am part of through GFW that needs one or two more.  Somebody jump in please!

Mid-gray.  They're Howard  Yount tropical wool.

I think Carmina's snuff suede looks outstanding with mid-gray.  I'm not sure if there is enough contrast to wear them with tan pants.

Too light for interview? It's a pretty subdued color but it's not exactly dark.

Also what's style forums opinion on flip flops? I ask because fro the summer i have (in my opinion) the best flip flops on the planet and i think they are great for everything casual they even performed fantastic on steep rocky ground as i walked into a crag, they can do just about everything and any thing provided i don't have to wear a suit. http://shop.reef.com/reef-jbay/d/1161_c_106
