I found this while visiting my parents' house. Daddy Noodles had shelved it because he didnt want it. Color is distorted by direct sunlight.

Dear JRD,
Why are all ur tie selections....so dark and gloomy? Do you have light colored suits?

Dear Roodles,

You have a strange definition of "gloomy." I don't know how any of those ties qualify as gloomy. Staid, yes. Gloomy, no. (Especially the Blackwatch regimental - not gloomy)

Also, who made it a rule that a dark suit must have a tie that is not a "dark" color? Much to learn, young Padawan. biggrin.gif

Still deciding which brown to get, and what widths I want.

Dude, everyone of those ties would look amazing with a navy suit and some variation of a blue shirt.

Here's the brown neat tie I sold off. It was too light for my tastes, actually. Pictured in middle. Too bronze-brown

I find neats to be incredibly versatile. They look great with both a soot and a SC/pents

WTF? A skinny? I sincerely hope you're joking. biggrin.gif

More like deciding how between a 3.25, a 3.35, or a 3.5, and how much taper up the narrow end of the tie. And whether to go lined or unlined.
