Noodles - Even when you have 10 suits to wear in any given season, you're going to be wearing the average suit 2x per month. I think you need to wear the Formosas at least twice a month and same with the wedding suit. This at least gets you to 8 out of 20 or so suit wearing days in a 4 week period, letting you wear the beaters 1.5x per week. That or you buy some more beaters.

LOL. I am so tech-savvy that I was able to find your PoW long ago and just drooled over it for months.

That sounds like a good plan. I need more suits. JosABanks, MensWearhouse, etc.

^ There are worse things, especially in the winter where the suit jacket is covered by an overcoat when you want in and generally is hanging in your office versus being worn much.

Though if there is a time for the odd trouser, shirt and tie look, this may be it for you. It's a bad look, but if nobody wears their jackets in the office anyway, they may be none the wiser. Just hang a Zegna beater in the office for the times when you actually have to wear a suit unexpectedly (wear a Formosa or the other Zegna beater when you know you are seeing a client or have an important meeting that day).

Clearly the best option is to just have more suits that you like to wear, but if that is not feasible, you have to find a solution that doesn't involve wearing two of your suits 2x a week.

I've yet to see a fellow coworker master a odd jacket/trousers at my office. That's about 300 + people in my building.

I think, if done fairly well, I can go around with odd jacket/trousers and give a breathing room to my suits.

I really don't think you have enough suits if your job requires you to wear one everyday.

We've had a user demonstrate that one can find gems in JAB if one looks properly and I implore you to try doing that. Or hit up spoo's auctions.

This just showed up on my Amazon recommended books list.

Is this where your username comes from?

Despite the fact I've in the past sworn off continuing to give any advice, I just have to say this. I've tried to think of nicer ways to put this, but came to the realization that's just not in me. But here's my best effort.

You've recently acquired 3 new suits which you love. They fit well and look good. But instead of wanting to wear these once a week (you could probably even wear the birdseye twice a week for the time being) you want to wear them once a month?

And those old suits that are too small, which don't look good and must be uncomfortable, you want to wear all the time? I don't get it. Like. At. All.

Wear the suits. Clothes are meant to be worn, not protected. Don't be the guy who buys Star Wars toys only to keep them in their packaging.

Sportcoat is new from KW. Wore it for the second time today.

Wool SC with Cashmere 7-fold Panta (first pic) and Sam Hober Grenadine (yeah, I own one).

New goal for this winter: wear the 7-fold... twice.

That lapel roll looks much nicer than KW's two button models.  Does it naturally roll to that point or have you manipulated it for the picture?

It came this way. I think having the button and the hole with the stitching 'pushes it out a bit.

All I know is it's on all mine and I ain't ever getting a 2 button.

^ This guys knows. Wear the damn suits, Noodles. That's why you bought them. I don't wear mine very often, but I only wear a suit about twice a month. If I had to, you better believe I would be wearing the hell out of them. They feel good, look good, and that's why I paid good money for them. Don't let them be closet ornaments. Especially that birdseye, that should be worn once a week. The other two could as well, but at least every other week. Wear and enjoy your clothes.

That jacket is nice, Jester. I'd love to see a full shot.

I may not again either.  As much as I love my prior KW jackets, my one complaint is that the lapel roll is very flat and two dimensional.  My most recent jacket with wide lapels really accentuates this.  I need to get a new charcoal suit in the coming months and may try out KW's 3 roll 2.

Guys, there really is no point explaining this to him. About 2 months ago, I explained him very thoroughly that a suit won't fall apart within a year if you wear it once or twice a week, as long as you leave it to 'rest' 48 hours in between each time you wear it. Noodles was stubborn at first, saying that wearing a suit any more than once a month will destroy it in no time, meaning you should wear your nicest suits the least, but he eventually accepted my reasoning. Now it seems he's gone back to the once a month thing. Who buys $2000 suits to wear them once a month? That's $33/wear over five years, while once a week would bring the cost per wear down to $8. Monetary cost aside, it's just plain silly to not enjoy wearing those beautiful suits, and making your other suits wear out even faster by not allowing them to rest properly.

Noodles, you're a great guy, but sometimes you can be extremely hard to reason with.

I am listening.
I think I wanted to get your thoughts.
I said this is what I am thinking about doing NOT what I will do.
All I want to do is protect the suits that I love.

Noodles are you planning on buying SC's now? I thought your office doesn't allow them...
