Why would I buy that tie when I already have the same one ?

Um, Rudals keep the damn nice PoA tie.

Can we talk about JR's PS matching or Clag's 25 desert island ties (and JRD, ok you're not going to by Boss, but if one has it, and it ties a good knot, drapes well, and is in good taste, that's ok, right?).

I am such a dummy. You're the reason why I bought this tie. :brick:

What width did you order?

3.3

I think we should move onward with Junglethug's PS and put an end to this nonsense over tie width. This is exactly the reason why I got chewed out at WAYWRN, over-reacting.

I'm already done with my PS adventure.  Well the first couple anyway.  I didn't purchase anything yet but I've got them figured out I think.

I only own one PS

A white linen. Purchased from Kent Wang like 5 years ago an barely worn

PS's are optional to me

You're not into silk PS, are you?

Cus I got 2 or 3 white(?) silk PS that I purchased from BOSS.

JRD,

Assuming you do a TV fold, doesn't your Kent Wang linen PS get too thick?

I am thinking about cutting mine into halves because it bulges out when in my jacket.

I feel incomplete or naked without PS and for CBD that is the least I can do to make my look less boring.

Eh, you know what I mean: just pulling the thin end up through the knot, and then letting the remainder of the knot just collapse once it's all the way out, rather than actually undoing the knot by reversing the steps done to tie it. The lazy way is faster, but puts much more strain on the fabric on the thin end because you have to pull it through a fairly tight (depending on your preference) knot. Some grenadines - and some other delicate weaves - don't take kindly to the fast way so I take the extra moment to undo them by reversing the knotting process (loosen knot by first pulling the fat end back through, then undo). I can't be the only one to use the fast/lazy method; surely most people use it?

I knew what you meant. My confusion stems from your choice to do this.

Y U NO LIKE UR TIES? (I mean, I know why I don't like many of them, but you presumably...) smile.gif

Did not read all posts for the sake of my heart rate.

Nudals, 2 things:

1. The tie is awesome. Do not even consider returning.

2. Unless your name is Voxsartoria there is no such thing as clothing nirvana or perfection. Dont even waste your time and energy trying to attain it. Your goal is simple, to look real good.

I'll dissent: That width is too wide for your frame. I'm.a 38-40 and am most comfortable at 3-3.25.

Yes, it could be narrower, but I still say he should keep it. Especially if he commissioned the size. Its a very nice tie and it certainly does not look bad imo.
