I could try that, I suppose.  I’d want to check first with Wang to be sure they understood that I know in advance that I would be returning it and that that’s OK with them.

Given what everyone has said, I’d first want to check out the measurements on their off-the-rack suit to see if it’s close enough to make this even possible.  Also to determine that they've got cloth I would want.

There’s no urgency here.  I wear only suits for work, and have enough in my rotation for present purposes, but they’re all at different points in their lifespans, so in a certain sense I’m always researching.   It’s a bit like buying a car:  you know that at some point you’ll need a new one but you don’t want to wait until your current one dies before educating yourself on what’s available.  If nothing else it keeps me from making impulse purchases, a not infrequent topic on this thread.

What initially caught my attention was that Wang got the Claghorn seal of approval, which isn’t common for online MTM.

Barring an unforeseen need to replace a staple suit, my next two suits will probably just be things I want but don’t really need:   a navy or medium blue birdseye and a light or medium gray sharkskin (sorry in_stitiches …).

So again, just researching.  Thanks for all the information, folks.

Cheers,

Ac

AC,

I think you're missing the purpose of a trial suit. I.e. to assess fit.

Let's rephrase. Here is the actual process.

You order trial suit

You get trial suit

You take pics of you in trial suit for Kent to assess.

Kent tells you to send suit to him or someone else. You pay for that shipping.

You pick fabric out

You get suit in that fabric.

Got it.  Thanks, guys.

My wife and my most serious (ex) girlfriend had dinner. This isn't the first time they've hung out. They are sitting in the living room. They just finished discussing my penis. And now they are discussing periods.

Do I leave the room?

depends if there's a lot of sniggering and laughter.  Or worse, commiseration

Stand your ground @Claghorn! Think this: what would Orwell do?

My fiancé hangs out quite a lot with one of my exes. Me and that particular ex were together almost 15 years ago now, so it's never really been weird.
