Your jackets have enough waist suppression as it is...

That guy has a smaller waist then my fiancé.

He combines a city navy pinstripe suit and pin dot tie with the most country waistcoat ever. It's probably not even that tight fitting, but you can obviously see he's pulling on his jacket. The pose and outfit look very contrived to me. Like a guy who wanted to jazz up his work suits by wearing a random waistcoat he found. The escaping hanky is the cherry on this affected cake.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out if that's it, or there's some aspect I could look into. idk I just personally find that kind of thing attractive, I know most people on SF prefer more masculine cuts and things.

All that aside I kinda like a light brown odd waistcoat paired with a blue suit, looks fine to me. I agree the picture is obv click/reblogbait, I mean it's a bit incongruent, maybe a solid beige is better, or like a houndstooth could work? I dunno I just like how the contrast looks.

Just walk around while pulling on your jacket. I'll bet you good money that this picture exaggerates that particular feature tremendously.

That's how models do it, right? They know all the sexy poses.

I guarantee that dude (?) couldn't button that jacket if he tried. It all looks ridiculous.

Putting aside:
- fit
- incongruity between the country vest and the rest

It looks good. But those are important things to be to putting aside.

Takes
1. A lot of people eschew the normal grey flannel pants
2. White shirts work well. Blank canvas?
3. Plain tie is more common but check the grad thread for more options

I think it looks really good as a photograph, that's just how I feel and I imagine a lot of people think this looking at it, but I totally understand that a really good photo doesn't mean the clothes in it are good in their natural habitat. I just wanted to understand what about it appealed to me. I think fwiw it does illustrate what I like in a suit's silhoutte even it it is clearly exaggerated. I tried on my blue suit and found that in certain angles it looks quite similar but in a normal standing straight shot it doesn't, so that confirms that it's a pose + angle thing.

re guncheck. I have a charcoal/gray gunclub from fox, is that even in the same category? It feels way less country.

If I'm not mistaken, that picture posted is this guy: http://instagram.com/danielre

He's always pops up on my explore page on Instagram. I think the individual pieces he has are nice, but I'm not a fan of the fit of his jackets, and his overly poofed squares.

It looks like him alright, and it's definitely too tight, but I guess he prefers it...? eh. It's obviously a conscious choice on his part. I kinda do like the silhouette but don't like the pulling. Maybe a corset IS the way to go.
